Welcome to the American Revolution II
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

Obama Oil and OPEC

During the Bush administration's gas crisis of 2007-08, Obama claimed that the only problem with higher gas prices was that they went up too fast, that he would have preferred a more gradual increase.

Yet gas prices have doubled since Obama took office.

The Mideast is in flames, food prices have spiked, the dollar could collapse if the deficit is not soon brought under control, and inflation is starting to creep up.

The buck stops with the president. So, Mr. President, put the golf clubs away, ground the presidential aircraft and end the vacations. Get back to work.

Why are the Democrats in Congress not complaining about the rising cost of gasoline and food? Could it be because we have a Democrat in the White House?

Where is Schumer, who under the Bush administration was screaming loudly at the president and demanding that the oil companies be investigated for price-fixing?

Cat got yer tongue, Chuck?

When I read that President Obama was taking the "bold" step of forming a task force to study the issue of astronomical and ever-increasing gas prices, I thought it was a joke -- they must be quaking in fear at OPEC ("Obama: New Task Force Will Examine Gas Prices," April 22).

But then I knew he was serious. Diane Sawyer of ABC News said the president was getting tough on this issue. Somehow, she said this out loud without laughing.

Why is it that when gas prices went up under President George W. Bush, everyone was blaming him?

Didn't they say it was so he could make his oil buddies richer?

Does the current president not have friends in the oil industry? We've always been led to believe that the oil industry only supports Republicans.

This is yet another example of how our current president takes no responsibility for anything that goes wrong in this country.

All he is good at is spending money we don't have and apologizing for everything good this country has done.

President Obama No Easter Greeting, Muslim holidays more important!!!!!!

What? No Easter Greeting?

by Keith Koffler on April 25, 2011, 11:11 am
Just when I thought the current team running the White House might have used up all its allotted mistakes comes word that President Obama failed to issue either either an Easter or a Good Friday greeting to the nation.
Now, let’s forget for a moment that these greetings, which presidents issue on many holidays and commemorations of events, are largely perfunctory and symbolic gestures that nobody cares about.
Until there’s a problem with them.
Fox News first caught the blunder and put it into context that makes the omission insulting to Christians. The mistake is odd enough to call into question just what Obama’s priorities are.
By comparison, the White House has released statements recognizing the observance of major Muslim holidays and released statements in 2010 on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.
The White House  . . . did release an eight-paragraph statement heralding Earth Day. Likewise, the president’s weekend address mentioned neither Good Friday or Easter.
Obama, Fox notes, did head out to church yesterday and held an Easter prayer breakfast at the White House last week.
Obama is on a roll for religious holiday greeting screw ups. Fox News writes:
In 2010, Obama was criticized for releasing an all-inclusive Easter greeting. He reached out to Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and people of no faith at all in a statement about a holiday that is uniquely Christian.
And as I noted last week, the president released a Passover greeting this month that compared the ancient Jewish exodus from Egypt to the Arab political awakening this year, which would be a beautiful thing if most Arabs didn’t seek Israel’s destruction.
The president is, of course, hosting the Easter Egg Roll at the White House today. But Easter isn’t really about rolling eggs on a manicured lawn, now is it?

Gas Prices Donald Trump Trumps the Field

President Obama's national address on energy on March 30th  missed the point completely (please see "Obama Echoes The American Petroleum Institute Mantra" 03.31.11) . Not a word about speculation on the commodity exchanges, and not a word about manipulation. This in the face of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting  Countries (OPEC) on going collusion as a cartel to limit production in order to force prices ever higher. The Presidents speech on energy seemed profoundly out of touch with the realities of the moment.
Most telling was President Obama's assertion that oil cannot be pumped fast enough to keep up with demand. This in the face of Saudi Arabia's willful breach of their assurances only two months ago that with their 4 million standby pumping capacity, exceeding more  than double Libya's output,  they would pump enough oil to make up for the loss of Libyan crude  (please see "Oil Drops as Saudi's Signal More Supply" 01.25.11).

We now learn that the Saudi's  have gone back on their word and  that "Saudi's throttled back oil production"  according to the International Energy Agency (FT 04.13.11) in spite of prices for Brent Crude breaching $120 barrel and WTI over $110/bbl. To put matters in perspective, Saudi Arabia is the de facto leader of the OPEC cartel. Yet not a word of remonstration form the President nor his Energy Secretary Steven Chu holding OPEC's production restraints accountable for today's extortionary high oil prices. Nor for that matter any degree of pushback from virtually anyone in government nor commentary focused on exacerbated OPEC manipulation from most any corner of the media. The only person out there telling it like it is, is one Donald Trump. "OPEC is sapping our strength". That truism, simple, straight forward, uttered in anger and concern is far beyond any utterance that our oil addled political class is prepared to make.Does it take someone far from the Saudi financed think tanks along the Beltway and wealthy enough not to be influenced by the oiligopoly to face down the extortion inherent in the construct of today's oil prices, enfeebling the economy and costing Americans thousands upon thousands of jobs.

Even if nothing more, Donald Trump in openly confronting OPEC and making it an issue on the front line of political discourse has made an important contribution toward an America finding its bearings once again.

JFK killed because of his interest in aliens?

Was JFK killed because of his interest in aliens? Secret memo shows president demanded UFO files 10 days before death

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 8:21 AM on 19th April 2011
An uncovered letter written by John F Kennedy to the head of the CIA shows that the president demanded to be shown highly confidential documents about UFOs 10 days before his assassination.
The secret memo is one of two letters written by JFK asking for information about the paranormal on November 12 1963, which have been released by the CIA for the first time.
Author William Lester said the CIA released the documents to him under the Freedom of Information Act after he made a request while researching his new book 'A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier.'

The president’s interest in UFOs shortly before his death is likely to fuel conspiracy theories about his assassination, according to AOL News.
Alien researchers say the latest documents, released to Mr Lester by the CIA, add weight to the suggestion that the president could have been shot to stop him discovering the truth about UFOs.

In one of the secret documents released under the Freedom of Information Act, JFK writes to the director asking for the UFO files.

In the second memo, sent to the NASA administrator, the president expresses a desire for cooperation with the former Soviet Union on mutual outer space activities.
The previously classified documents were released under the Freedom of Information Act to teacher William Lester as part of research for a new book about JFK.
He said that JFK’s interest in UFOs could have been fuelled by concerns about relations with the former Soviet Union.

‘One of his concerns was that a lot of these UFOs were being seen over the Soviet Union and he was very concerned that the Soviets might misinterpret these UFOs as U.S. aggression, believing that it was some of our technology,’ Mr Lester told AOL News.
‘I think this is one of the reasons why he wanted to get his hands on this information and get it away from the jurisdiction of NASA so he could say to the Soviets, “Look, that's not us, we're not doing it, we're not being provocative. “.’
But conspiracy theorists said the documents add interest to a disputed file, nicknamed the ‘burned memo’, which a UFO investigator claims he received in the 1990s.
The document, which has scorch marks, is claimed to have been posted to UFO hunter Timothy Cooper in 1999 by an unknown CIA leak, but has never been verified.
Disputed: In the 'burned memo' the CIA director allegedly wrote: 'Lancer [JFK] has made some inquiries regarding our activities, which we cannot allow'

In a note sent with the document, the apparent leaker said he worked for CIA between 1960 and 1974 and pulled the memo from a fire when the agency was burning some of its most sensitive files.
The undated memo contains a reference to ‘Lancer’, which was JFK's Secret Service code name.
On the first page, the director of Central Intelligence wrote: ‘As you must know, Lancer has made some inquiries regarding our activities, which we cannot allow.
‘Please submit your views no later than October. Your action to this matter is critical to the continuance of the group.’
The current owner of the ‘burned memo’, who bought it from Timothy Cooper in 2001 told AOL News that it shows that when JFK asked questions about UFOs that the CIA ‘bumped him off’.
UFO investigator Robert Wood said he has tested the paper it was printed on, the ink age, watermarks, font types and other markings.
He said: ‘I hired a forensics company to check the age of the ink and check several other things that you can date, using the same techniques you’d use in a court of law.’

WHY IS OBAMA NOT ON TRIAL FOR TREASON, ALONG WITH HIS FAUX ATTORNEY GENERAL?

(Apr. 17, 2011) — The UK Daily Mail Online has reported that a senior agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms came forward last month claiming that the ATF has been “allowing guns to slip across the border and fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
CBS News interviewed ATF senior agent John Dodson, who stated  that his instructions were to allow guns to “walk” across the Mexican border.  Dodson described his assignment as emanating from the U.S. Justice Department.  Although the Justice Department has denied that the operations took place, CBS states that “Dodson  believes there are other ATF operations going on that have done the same thing.”
A CBS report dated March 21, 2011 stated that after Dodson’s revelations, another ATF agent had come forward with the same allegations and that “Now there’s evidence other agencies knew about [the] program.”
An email written by David Voth, Group Supervisor to a working group tasked with allowing gun-walking, described the mission as “fun.”  The email was an apparent attempt to stop “petty arguing, rumors or other adolescent behavior” on the part of anyone who might have disagreed with the practice.
The email concludes with the statement, “We need to get over this bump in the road once and for all and get on with the mission at hand.  This can be the most fun you have with ATF, the only one limiting the amount of fun we have is you!”
Voth mentioned a hypothetical ATF salary of $100,000 annually as opposed to lower-paying employment outside of the federal government.  The 2010 budget for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was “$1,120 .8 million” with over 5,000 employees, and for 2011, an increase $42.2 million has been requested.  The ATF’s stated mission is to “to reduce violent crime, prevent terrorism, and protect the United States.”
But are they doing that by providing guns to Mexican drug dealers and criminals?  One website claims that the ATF is guilty of waste, dishonesty, and providing false testimony.  The site’s stated purpose is to “promote restoration of integrity, accountability and responsibility to ATF’s leadership, and regain the trust of the American taxpayer.”
A Houston Fox News affiliate reported that a Houston firearms dealer, Carter Country, through its legal counsel stated that the ATF had requested that it sell guns  to certain types of people, particularly young Hispanics, which the attorney described as “profiling.”  When asked, the local reporter did not produce documentation to support the attorney’s claims but said that he felt they were solid given the attorney’s reputation in the community.  However, CBS reported that documentation was provided by other gun dealers who were paid by the ATF to be “confidential informants.”
Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) has termed Dodson a “whistleblower” and called for an investigation into the Department of Justice, which it reportedly agreed to launch with its Inspector General following Grassley’s production of documentary evidence to the DOJ.  However, Grassley pointed out that there is no permanent DOJ Inspector General at the present time and opined that “acting inspectors general tend to function as caretakers of the office.”
Border Agent Brian Terry was part of a special task force which pursued bandits on the U.S.-Mexico border. Terry was killed on December 14, 2010 by enemy fire from a U.S.-sold firearm.
Speaking on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Grassley stated that it appeared that the “ATF was doing this (trafficking) on purpose…”  Grassley is in possession of emails which “refute earlier Justice Department denials.”  An April 15 report from Arizona Central stated that after the emails were made public the day before, “Justice Department officials in Washington, D.C., could not be reached late Thursday, and a spokesman for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives declined to comment.”
Grassley stated reported that before his confirmation, faux Attorney General Eric Holder had promised to respond swiftly to any oversight concerns Grassley and other might have, but that the reality is that “the Justice Department has circled the wagons.”  He also stated that he was performing his “constitutional responsibility of oversight to make sure the checks and balances of system of government under the Constitution is working.”  It was clear in Grassley’s speech that he felt the Justice Department had delayed in responding to his request for documents relating to Project Gunwalker.
On February 9, 2011, Grassley sent a letter to Holder stating that “ATF whistleblowers” had come forward to report that the ATF had “allowed the sale of assault rifles to known and suspected straw purchasers for an illegal trafficking ring” which ultimately killed Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry on December 14, 2010.  Terry was killed by an AK-47 while initiating an arrest of a group of men believed to be preying on illegal immigrants as they crossed the Arizona border.  Agent Terry had served in the Marines.  Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Alan Bersin called the murder a “despicable act.”
Last September, MSNBC’s Michael Isikoff, who repeated the claim of Dr. Chiyome Fukino of having “personally reviewed” Barack Hussein Obama’s long-form birth certificate despite no evidence, reported that “Project Gunrunner,” designed to reduce the movement of deadly weapons across the U.S. southern border to Mexican drug lords, had “misfired” “due to bureaucratic turf battles and a failure to share critical intelligence about illegal firearms purchases.”
Project Gunrunner was designed to discover the first purchaser of a firearm using the eTrace internet-based system, including those purchased lawfully.  But was the program overstepping the privacy of individuals and overlooking other ways to follow the movement of firearms?  From Wikipedia:
eTrace only tracks firearms to the “first retail purchase”. Many (if not most) such guns have been subsequently sold or stolen – perhaps many times. Nevertheless, eTrace only points to the first purchaser, who (innocent or not) then is automatically reported as a suspect to the requesting agency, including foreign police.[25][26] eTrace does not and cannot (at the present time) trace firearm ownership to the last owner, nor to any intermediate owners, which is a major limitation in the eTrace system.
How could Project Gunrunner have been successful when it apparently escalated to Project Gunwalker, wherein the enemy was knowingly supplied with firearms when the U.S. Justice Department coerced gun shops to participate and then lied about it?
The definition of “treason, sedition” is “disloyalty or treachery to one’s country or its government. Treason  is any attempt to overthrow the government or impair the well-being of a state to which one owes allegiance; the crime of giving aid or comfort to the enemies of one’s government. S edition  is any act, writing, speech, etc., directed unlawfully against state authority, the government, or constitution, or calculated to bring it into contempt or to incite others to hostility, ill will or disaffection; it does not amount to treason and therefore is not a capital offense.”
Oran’s Dictionary of the Law, published in 1983, defines “treason” as “.[a]…citizen‘s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].” In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour.”
What are Obama and his accomplices doing to the United States by supplying firearms to the enemy, who then kill U.S. citizens?

Obama’s SS# 042-68-4425 Maybe!!!!

While out promoting my new book, “Deconstructing Obama,” I have been asked a few times about Obama’s mysterious Social Security number.
Not knowing enough to speak authoritatively, I chose to swim upstream through the data flood and head for the source.
Here I found a no-nonsense licensed investigator from Ohio named Susan Daniels. Widowed at 30 with seven children, Daniels went back to school and eventually emerged as a certified paralegal.
After several years working for others, Daniels got her own license as an investigator in 1995. Since then, she has specialized in litigation support for law firms. Her particular strength has been in researching assets.
By her own admission, Daniels is “good with public records.” She knows her way around databases and has access to many that the public does not.
Jack Cashill’s literary investigation uncovers revelations galore about Obama’s alleged life narrative. Order the new book “Deconstructing Obama: The Life, Love and Letters of America’s First Post-Modern President”
“I did not like the way things were going,” Daniels says of the country’s drift circa 2009. And so in the best spirit of citizen journalism, she began to investigate Obama on her own.
What she and fellow investigator Neil Sankey unearthed was a nugget that could have ended the career of a George Bush or a Sarah Palin: Barack Obama had been using a Social Security number issued in Connecticut between 1977 and 1979, a state in which he never lived or even visited at that time in his life.
This will not come as news to the readers of WorldNetDaily, whose thorough investigation climaxed last June when WND’s veteran White House correspondent Les Kinsolving confronted Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs on the subject.
Predictably, Gibbs laughed Kinsolving off and switched the subject to the birth certificate. Kinsolving had seen this kind of laugh and switch before. In 1982, for instance, he introduced the subject of AIDS to then-press secretary Larry Speakes.
“Over a third of [the victims] have died,” said Kinsolving. “It’s known as ‘gay plague.’”
“I don’t have it. Do you?” joked Speakes to a general round of laughter. But unlike Gibbs, Speakes simply did not know any better.
As much as Daniels appreciates the work of WND and other serious investigators who have helped clarify the picture, she is distressed by the few who have clouded it.
“There have been many playing junior investigator from the start,” she jokes. “I don’t know if they even have their decoder rings yet.”
This being the case, I asked Daniels to guide me through the data mine field and help me ascertain what we know for sure about the world’s best-known Social Security number – 042-68-4425.
“All I can say,” says Daniels of 042-68-4425, “is that it’s phony and [Obama] has been using it, with it first appearing on his Selective Service document in 1980.”
Daniels sent me a copy of the hand-written application of the individual who held the number immediately before Obama’s, 042-68-4424. The applicant, Thomas Wood, died at age 19, which is why his information is available.
Wood’s Social Security number was issued sometime between March and May of 1977. Obama would turn 16 in August of that year. Wood lived on Glenview Drive in Newington, Conn., the state from which all “042s” applied. Obama lived in Hawaii.
True to form, the left-leaning media set out to undermine the Social Security controversy and ridicule the investigators. Revealing, however, is the weakness of the response.
“Numbers are assigned based on the return address on the request envelope, not residency,” crowed Jason Linkins in the Huffington Post as though he had said something meaningful. Linkins suggested two possible explanations, both preposterous.
One is that Obama applied for his SSN as a little boy in Indonesia for no known reason, and the application just happened to be processed in Connecticut for no known reason either.
For the second, Linkins cited the argument of Carole Glibert, in the Yahoo-related “Associated Content.” Said Gilbert, presumably with a straight face, “In fact, Barack Obama’s dad attended college in Connecticut and in 1977, Obama was college aged; is it beyond reason to consider that he might have checked out his father’s alma mater?”
Last time I checked, Harvard was in Massachusetts. The closest town to Harvard in Connecticut is about 90 minutes away, and there is no record that Obama Sr. lived there, let alone that Obama visited his imaginary alma mater and just happened to apply for a Social Security card while visiting.
Daniels also sent me a copy of Obama’s Selective Service data. Obama appears to have registered on Sept. 4, 1980, a month after his 19th birthday. The form lists the telling last four digits of his “042″ number, “4425.”
This is the first use of the “042″ number that Daniels could find. She is just not sure it is legitimate. Some have credibly argued that the Selective Service information was forged and backdated once Obama became a presidential candidate.
“They were stupid to use the CT number on the [Selective Service] card,” Daniels adds, “because now there is no way for [Obama] to back out of that number.”
Other than the 1980 Selective Service registration, the first time Daniels could find Obama using the “042″ number was in 1986 in Chicago
As to how Obama may have secured that number, it is possible that he turned to his radical friends for advice.
“We invented all kinds of ways to obtain false identity papers, and got busy building multiple sets of ID for each of us and for every contingency,” writes Bill Ayers of his years in the Weather Underground. “We soon figured out that the deepest and most foolproof ID had a government-issued Social Security card at its heart.”
For the record, Ayers appears to have commuted between his wife and children in Chicago and Columbia University in New York from 1984 to 1987. Obama left New York, where he, too, had attended Columbia University, and arrived in Chicago in 1985.
Daniels and Sankey have tracked Obama’s many uses of the “042″ number in Chicago, in Massachusetts and in Washington. Others numbers appear with the “Obama” name, but Daniels cautions against attributing these numbers – with the exception of those from Obama’s college days at Occidental – to the president.
From Daniels’ perspective, one felonious use of a fraudulent number is enough. She believes this to be a more tangible scandal than the birth certificate and wonders when someone beyond WND will start paying attention.

Donald Trump: It would have been difficult for Abraham Lincoln to win after Bush

“I believe that every individual is naturally entitled to do as he pleases with himself and the fruits of his labor, so far as it in no way interferes with any other men’s rights” – Abraham Lincoln

Because didn't have a great presidency, especially at the end.  And because of his actions, and because of his aura, it was very tough for a Republican to win.  And in all fairness to John McCain and to Sarah Palin, I think it would have been very, very tough for anybody – for Abraham Lincoln – to win after having followed George Bush.

Barack Obama's Legacy of Failure

"This country is a laughingstock throughout the world," Trump said.

Speaking to CNN, New York real estate billionaire Donald Trump expressed frustration over what he sees as a weakened America. "This country is a laughingstock throughout the world," Trump said. President Barack Obama's leadership has been "ineffective" which has posited the United States as a diffident power. "We have such power if we knew how to use it," he added.

By way of example, he cited the recent US role in NATO's effort in Libya: "Look at Libya. Look at this mess.
"We go in, we don't go in, he shouldn't be removed, we don't want to remove him, we don't want to touch him, but he should be removed. Nobody knows what they're doing on Kadhafi."
Trump offered his solution: "I'd do one thing. Either I'd go in and take the oil or I don't go in at all." He concluded, "In the old days, when you have a war and you win, that nation is yours." The United Nations Security Council approved foreign intervention in Libya in order to aid anti-Gadhafi rebels seeking to overthrow their dictator and establish a friendly democracy.
Trump also lashed out against China: "If you look at what China is doing, they're stealing our jobs, they're taking our money. They're then loaning our money back. It's amazing.
"They're making all of our products. They are also manipulating the currency that makes it almost impossible for our companies to compete with China."
In speaking about America's alleged decline, Trump was echoing a theme he visited earlier. Appearing at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conference earlier this year, Trump made a well-received speech where he stated that America's reputation would be redeemed if he were president: “If I run and if I win, this country will be respected again."

Amongst Republicans, Trump has been climbing the polls lately. Originally the butt of jokes by late night comedians when he first flouted the idea of a presidential campaign, a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll has Trump tied for first amongst likely GOP contenders. The New York mogul garnered 19% among Republican primary voters alongside former Arkansas governor and 2008 candidate Mike Huckabee. The CNN survey was released last Tuesday and conveys a rising momentum for Trump.
The week prior a NBC/Wall Street Journal survey had him at 17% (again tied with Mike Huckabee) in second place behind Mitt Romney. And this poll came shortly after another one commissioned by CNN which had Trump at 10%. Within a span of weeks Trump has doubled his support base among Republicans.
Trump, however, still sounds noncommittal. As he told CNN, "I wish I didn't have to do it. I would prefer not doing it. But I love this country.
"If you ask me, what are the odds, I'll let you know some time prior to June. But I will tell you, I am giving it serious, serious thought."

The Day the Dollar Died

Could this be the day the dollar dies?

Either we will go more into debt (QE3), or Inflation/hyperinflation could occur on this day. For all you mutual fund holders out there...SELL!

I just did last week and felt a huge sigh of relief. Time to buy food, a newer car, and maybe more metals. Also thinking of investing in the cost of oil. I believe it to go above $200 a barrel in the next 18 months or so.

Plus, even Wal-Mart is admitting inflation will occur.

BRICS credit: Local currencies to replace dollar

SANYA: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - the BRICS group of fastest growing economies - Thursday signed an agreement to use their own currencies instead of the predominant US dollar in issuing credit or grants to each other.

The agreement, the first-of-its-kind, was signed at the 3rd BRICS summit here attended by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, China's Hu Jintao, Brazil's Dilma Rousseff, Russia's Dmitry Medvedev and South Africa's Jacob Zuma.

"Our designated banks have signed a framework agreement on financial cooperation which envisages grant of credit in local currencies and cooperation in capital markets and other financial services," Manmohan Singh told reporters at a news conference with other BRICS leaders.

But the agreement is confined to credit and not trade. BRICS economies hold 40 percent of the world's currency reserves, the majority of which is still in US dollars.

The BRICS summit is being held in the coastal city of Sanya in China's Hainan island.

The joint presser was held after the leaders held deliberations on the international situation, and financial, development, climate and security issues.

Manmohan Singh said: "We have had very fruitful discussions. We have reviewed the international situation, discussed international economic, financial and trade issues, the challenges of sustainable development, food security, energy security and climate change."

The grouping is significant because it is expected to have a healthy global presence in the future as the member-countries are the fastest growing economies and are projected to contribute 48 percent to the global economy in the next decade.

At present they account for 40 percent of the world's population and 20 percent of the global Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The government is printing money 24/7 to paper over the bad debts of the housing crisis and Wall Street bailouts. We're about to enter a cycle of hyper-inflation that will devalue every dollar you own... but there is a way to profit! Find out how in this free report.

Talk about deflation, Wall Street's current favorite "phantom menace," has reached near hysterical levels lately. And it's taking the dollar down with it.

The spring slowdown in the economy ignited fear that falling prices and a stagnant economy are on the horizon. Even the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, said recently that deflation is a real risk.

Facts are facts. The economy is growing, albeit at a snail's pace.

So, is the dollar really the best choice for safety, quality and security?

Of course not. There's only so long the U.S. government can prop up the dollar. After all, they've spent the last two years printing millions of dollars in bailouts and stimulus packages...
It looks like the day of reckoning is finally here for the U.S. dollar.

And it's not good news for the dollar.

As the year goes on, dollar is looking more and more like a colossal short... One that could wind up being one of the biggest moneymakers of the year - if you've got the guts.

Obama victory in 2012?

By PEGGY NOONAN
What if everything we think we know about the president's political position is wrong? That's what I think became clear this week.

You know the conventional wisdom. It is that unemployment ticking down, plus the economy inching back, plus the power of the presidency to affect events, equals a likely Obama victory in 2012. Smart people, especially Republicans, believe this. But how about this for a thought: It's not true. It's all wrong. Barack Obama can be taken, and his adversaries haven't even noticed. In fact, he will likely lose in 2012. Only one thing can save him. More on that further down.

Let's start with the immediate and go to the overarching. The president is immersed in another stressed and unsuccessful spring after a series of losing seasons. Internationally, he's involved in a confused effort that involves bombing Libyan government troops and sometimes their rebel opponents, leaving the latter scattered and scurrying. Responsibility to protect is looking like tendency to deflect.

Domestically, the president's opponents seized the high ground on the great issue of the day, spending and debt, and held it after the president's speech this week. In last week's budget duel, the president was outgunned by Republicans in the House and outclassed by Paul Ryan, who offered seriousness and substance as a unique approach to solving our fiscal problems.

In this week's polls: An Ipsos survey says 69% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track, up five points since March. Zogby has only 38% of national respondents saying Mr. Obama deserves re-election, with 55% wanting someone new. Mr. Obama carried Pennsylvania in 2008 by double digits; a poll there this week shows only 42% approving of his leadership, with 52% disapproving. Gallup had the president's support slipping among blacks and Hispanics, with the latter's numbers dramatic: 73% supported him when he was inaugurated, 54% do now. Support among whites on Inauguration Day was 60%. Now it is 39%.

We're all so used to reporting the general trend of these polls that we fail to see their significance: The more that people experience his leadership, the less they like his leadership. There's no real reason to think upticks in this direction or that will seriously change this. Another way to say it is that there have been upticks that might have benefited the president, and so far they haven't.

At this point everyone mentions Mr. Obama's personal approval numbers, which are consistently higher than his leadership numbers. The RealClearPolitics average puts his personal approval at 47.6%, which doesn't sound bad.

But let me offer a hunch based on conversations with people from many walks of life and all regions the past 18 months. The president's personal numbers are probably lower than the polls report. Not that the polls are dishonest, but the American people don't want to not like Mr. Obama. They don't want to tell a young pollster that they don't like a man they elected two years ago, with excitement and hope, by a margin of 9.5 million votes. There are two things I have never heard, not once, in the past year: "I love this guy—I love Obama," and "If only John McCain were president, everything would be better."

I suspect, and it's only a suspicion, that there's a degree to which people tell pollsters they like Mr. Obama to take the sting out of the fact that they just told the pollster they don't approve of his leadership.

We all get stuck in the day-to-day and lose sight of the overarching, but the overarching fact of Mr. Obama's presidency is that he made a bad impression his first years in office and has never turned that impression around.

He spent his first 14 months moving on what he was thinking about—health care—and not what the public was thinking about: the economic crash, jobs, spending. He seemed not to be thinking like everyone else, which underscored the idea that he was unresponsive to the crises they were seeing. It's hard to get past that.

His speech this week brought together all the strands of his flawed leadership. It was at moments clever, but merely clever, not up to the needs of the moment—and cleverness in a time of crisis comes as an affront. The speech seemed oblivious to recent history, as if the president had just discovered something no one knows about, a problem with spending, and has decided to alert us to the danger. He said other politicians attempt to cut by focusing on "waste and abuse," but he knows the real secret: The problem is entitlement spending. But addressing entitlements is all anyone serious has been talking about for years; it's what the Ryan plan is all about!

The speech was intellectually incoherent. An administration that spent two years saying, essentially, that high spending is good is suddenly insisting high spending is catastrophic. The president appealed for bipartisan efforts, but his manner and approach leave his appeals sounding like diktats. His attempts to seem above the fray leave him seeming distanced and unwilling to risk anything.

Most important, the speech signaled that the White House, after all this time, sees the question of spending as a partisan tool, a weapon to be deployed in an election, and not an actual crisis. This is disrespectful toward citizens who feel honest alarm.

Because of these flaws, the speech will have no afterlife, and a major speech with no afterlife might as well not have been given.

You would think Democratic professionals, who read the same numbers Republicans do and pick up similar trends, would be hanging their heads in despair.

They are not. They have hope. Their hope is that Republicans in the early caucus and primary states will go crazy.

They hope the GOP will nominate for the presidency someone strange, extreme or barely qualified. They hope that in a mood of antic cultural pique, or in a great acting out of disdain for elites, or to annoy the mainstream media, Republican voters will raise high candidates who are unacceptable to everyone else. Everyone else of course being the great and vital center, which hires and fires presidents. The Democrats' hope is that centrists will look at the Republican nominee and, holding their nose, choose the devil they know. Especially if the one they don't know seems to have little horns under his hair.

Republicans voting in recent presidential primaries have tended to pick the candidates who are viewed as the moderate in the race—Bob Dole in 1996, George W. Bush in 2000, John McCain in 2008. But in truth, there are some pretty antic candidates out there this year.

The great question of the coming year is not, "Will Obama reignite his base?" or, "Will the Democrats outraise and outspend the GOP?" It is: Will the GOP be serious? Will Republicans be equal to their history, their tradition and the moment? If they are—if they recruit and support candidates who can speak to the entire country, who have serious experience and accomplishments, who are grounded and credible, then they will win centrist support. And with it they will likely win the thing without which they cannot achieve the big changes they seek, and that is the presidency.

Conservative song costs coach his job

If you wish to contact the writer, at this time I suggest you visit the website above. I'm just a fellow patriot.

Can you believe the writer of this song was fired from his job because of this song?

http://www.onenewsnow.com/uploadedImages/Media/Images/FrontPageArt/pinkslip.jpgTwenty-six-year-old Bryan Glover is a Christian who co-wrote a song called "When You're Holding a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail," which takes a dig at the current administration and what he believes to be the wrong moves for the U.S. He sent a link to his song to everyone in his personal e-mail inbox, which included parents from Grassland Middle School, where he coached football.

"An hour-and-a-half after sending out the e-mail, I got the phone call from the head coach saying that he had had complaints from parents; he was told to fire me," the former coach accounts.

He notes that he was surprised by the allegations against him.

music musical small"When the coach first called me, he said his phone was blown up with parents saying that I was being politically incorrect -- quote, unquote -- if you will, and that some of them were even reading into racial overtones in the song," Glover explains.

But he points out that the lyrics make no direct or indirect reference to race.

A number of supportive parents met with the principal and asked for reinstatement, but the school district is remaining firm. The Williamson County superintendent refuses to say why the coach was fired, but he speculates that it could be an issue of how he obtained the parents' e-mail addresses -- even though the e-mail was sent from his personal account.

Meanwhile, Glover says he has read the Constitution and believes he is standing on firm ground because of the provision for free speech.

(9/16/2010)Hey all! Just a quick note. As we're approaching 1 million views, I just want to say how proud I am have been a part of this. Kyle Hill told me early on they would have been happy with 100,000 views. Thank you all!

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Music City is full of songwriters, hoping to land that big break. But a now former Middle school football coach in Williamson County said writing a politically-charged country song got him fired, after it rubbed a few parents the wrong way.
26 year old Bryan Glover is not shy about his political opinions. He is proud tea party Republican and felt compelled to voice his disappointment in the current administration through his music. But he never thought sharing his new song would leave him unemployed.
The song is called, "When You're Holding A Hammer, Everything Looks Like A Nail." It is a reference to Glover's frustrations with the current administration and President Obama. Glover co-wrote the tune with a parent on the Grassland Middle School football team. He never thought sending it out to friends, family and player's parents could put the hammer on the nail of his job with the school.
"Here we are a week before the season starts and they call and say I am no longer with the staff. It's devastating for me," said Glover.
It all stems from an email Glover sent through his personal Yahoo account.
"I sent it 99 percent of the people in my inbox-- all the way from my mom to people I haven't spoken to in years," said Glover.
But the email, with a link to his new song, went out to a hand full of parents of kids on the Grassland Football Team.
Within hours, parents called the school to complain of the politically charged lyrics and Glover said the principal at Grassland Middle School told the head football coach to release Glover from his position with the team.
"He just said parents were complaining, maybe there was a comment of racial overtones," Glover said,
"I found it amusing," said parent Michael Kasaitis about Glover's country song.
He said no matter the opinion on his music, the link was sent from his personal email account and it is free speech.
"I was totally upset. He has every right to write a song, write a book or to make his opinion known," said Kasaitis.
The Superintendent of Williamson County Schools refused to say why Glover was fired, but he did speculate it could be an issue of how he obtained the parents email addresses.
"If someone is sending an email to parents using our system or knowledge you obtained through our system, you are limited in what kind of message you can send to parents, " said Dr. Mike Looney.
Glover, however, is confident it was the conservative lyrics and his strong stance as a Republican that left him without his team or a job.
Dr. Looney said the only way Glover would get his coaching job back before the team's first game next week was if the principal decides to change her mind.

The Story Behind Honoring an Old Veteran
by Jim Scoutten
It really did start with an e-mail message from Ted Gundy. He was already a viewer of Shooting USA, so he knew how to send me a message
He wrote that he couldn’t imagine how today’s snipers made shots out to 1,000 yards, that he couldn’t have done that when he was a sniper during the Battle of the Bulge. And, while he had always been a shooting enthusiast and a hunter, he wondered if I could arrange for him to try a shot at that distance.
I did the quick math… The Battle of the Bulge was 1944. Ted Gundy had to be in his 80s. So I wanted to know if Ted was real, if he could still get around, that he was of sound mind. His daughter Michele came into our conversation and she was first suspicious that this might be some kind of a scam. I assured her the conversation was real and we were considering a plan if Ted could travel.

Michele sent photos and memorabilia from her father’s time in the service. The home town article that noted he’d shot the highest score in his basic rifle training. That was the reason his commander designated him as a sniper when he arrived as a replacement in Belgium, just before the Nazi offensive we now call the Battle of the Bulge.

Michele sent photos of Ted marching on his prosthetic right leg in the Memphis, MO Memorial Day parade, wearing his WW-II uniform. Ted also had the current issue Army Class A Green uniform he wears as a member of the volunteer unit that renders honors for WW-II veterans who are dying in increasing numbers.

With that information, I took the idea to LTC Daniel Hodne, Commander of the US Army Marksmanship Unit. I suggested we bring Ted to Fort Benning to try his 1,000 yard shot with the USAMU sniper team that had twice won the International Sniper Competition, SFC Robbie Johnson and SFC Jason St. John. Colonel Hodne liked the idea and the sniper team was enthusiastic.

Then we needed approval from the Fort Benning Base Commander for VIP Housing, for a tour of Sniper School, for dining in what is now called the DFAC (dining facility), a far cry from Ted’s time working KP, when Army Sergeants did the cooking in what was called the Mess Hall. Public Affairs Specialist Brenda Donnell got the assignment and the approvals for Ted and son Mike Gundy to be VIP visitors.

We also needed approval to video tape in the new National Infantry Museum, that isn’t owned by the Army. The museum is operated by the National Infantry Foundation, headed by retired Major General Jerry White. PIO Cyndy Cerbin coordinated our visit and selected Matt Young to be Ted’s guide through the WW-II Company Street exhibit, and as the historian providing commentary on the Battle of the Bulge.
Then came the approval from the Army Media Relations Office in Los Angeles, that handles agreements when the Army is involved in Movie and Television production events.

Val Forgett presents the '03 Springfield A-4

Finally, I went looking for an ’03 Springfield A-4 Sniper Rifle and Scope. I first tried the Civilian Marksmanship Program, to learn the real ones that still existed, with the Weaver 3X scope, were too valuable at $5,000 to $7,000.  But Val Forgett had the solution, his re-creation of the ’03 A-4, now being sold by his Gibbs Rifle Company, a division of Navy Arms. Val sent in a rifle in time for Sergeants Johnson and St John to zero the scope, before personally flying down to Fort Benning to make the presentation to Ted.

This story had more moving parts than anything we’ve ever attempted before. But after 4 months of organizing, we were ready for an extraordinary five days, that would result in an extraordinary story.

One of a thousand handshakes

Brian Speciale wrote the script for this show. His first draft timed out to nearly an hour for a show that is half as long. So there’s much you won’t see from Ted’s visit to Fort Benning. But you will see how much the members of today’s Army value the service and sacrifice of those who came before them. I was worried during the week that we not walk Ted too much on his prosthetic right leg. As it turned out, it was Ted’s right hand that got sore, as virtually every soldier who came near him wanted to shake his hand.

USAMU Black Hat

Throughout the visit Ted kept telling me, that he wasn’t a hero and he didn’t deserve the honors he was receiving. I said, “Ted, we can’t honor the millions of WW-II veterans who served and died for our freedoms, but you represent all of them this week. Accept these honors from the Army on behalf of your generation.”
